2021 Annual Parish Meeting

MINUTES of the ANNUAL PARISH MEETING of Hough on the Hill, Brandon and Gelston held on Thursday 13th May 2021 at 7 pm at All Saints Church, Hough on the Hill.

Present: Cllr Rowland (in the Chair), Cllrs. Baker, Barrett, Holden, Knott, McLean and Ward  plus Cty Cllr A Maughan and Dist Cllr P Milnes, Bob Mills for the Hough Charity, and three members of the public.

1.   The minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held in 2020 were read and approved and it was unanimously agreed, that they be signed.

2.   The Chairman gave his report and a copy is attached to these minutes.

3.   The Clerk/RFO gave a financial report and a copy is attached to these minutes.

4.   Bob Mills gave an introduction to the Charity.  We will get a report each year.  If a parishioner has lived in the village for a year and is in need, he/she can claim through the charity – but there are limited funds.

5.   A Parishioner had sent an email prior to this meeting, asking why the PC had not objected to planning application S21/0405 and listing a series of questions.  The Chair said he will receive a written response.  There ensued a general debate over the need for new houses in the village and Cllr Milnes said that the Local Plan is under review but at present SKDC is open with business as usual.

Meeting closed at 7.35 pm.
